The Michigan Economic Development Corp. plans to announce today $47.7 million in tax incentives for a dozen projects that are expected to create 3,231 jobs, mostly in southeast Michigan.The bulk of the jobs will come from companies in a diverse number of industries investing in the state or expanding their existing operations.

"This is a good statement about our ability to attract jobs," said Gov. Jennifer Granholm. "We beat out states from coast to coast."
